I've had this vintage pattern on my mind for months now and the recent episodes about tie-on pockets from @dressed_podcast inspired me to dig it out of the closet for closer inspection. ⁠⁠ 🤗⁠⁠ This pattern belonged to my paternal grandmother (she would have been 107 years old this Valentine's Day!). By my estimate this pattern is from around 1940. The instructions and envelope are printed and not so different from what we find today. But the pattern pieces have no printing and all markings, including the pattern piece number, are shown via circular perforations in the tissue. (The pattern pieces must have been pre-cut.)⁠⁠ ✂️⁠⁠ This pattern has instructions for a variety of belts but I'm particularly intrigued by the pockets in View E (swipe for close up). They attach onto a belt that you make yourself and you can access the pocket through a finished slit in the fabric. ⁠⁠ ✂️⁠⁠ I'd like to try making a version of this pocket but with slightly different, easier construction.
